Peter Hamilton has been on motorcycles for over 40 years. Not weekends, not a phase. A way of life, lived across different countries, different cultures, different kinds of people. All of it now finds its way into his writing.

He’s originally from the UK, moved to Australia in 1986 and hasn’t looked back. These days, he lives in New South Wales with his wife and their pets.

Before turning to fiction, there was academia, business training, and years of writing articles, reports, and blog content, putting words to work in very different settings. That background is reflected in his writing: precise, grounded, and human.

Turf Wars is his first novel. It didn’t come quickly. It came from persistence and from decades of experience that most writers can only research.
