I thoroughly enjoyed Turf Wars. It’s a fine story, well researched and the bonus is the great memories I have from my time living on the Gold Coast in Australia, when my sole means of transport was a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. I’ve ridden those streets and roads, experienced the wonderful climate on two wheels, at speed, in all seasons, and times of day. So this story brought me many, many remembrances. Amanda, Cleaver, his DESPOT brothers, and many more of those personalities we encounter are similar characters to people I have met. The story rings true and it is a top notch read. I wanted more!

It’s hard to believe that this is Peter Hamilton’s first ever published book. The story line he’s created is exciting, intriguing, captivating and very believable. This is a true page-turner, and I couldn’t put it down until the very end. I really hope that there’s a sequel in the pipeline.

Great book. Love the characters. Turf Wars has everything. Action, intrigue, relationships and emotions right from the start, with a cast of interesting characters that light up the page. A fast-paced storyline set on the Gold Coast of Australia, what more could you ask for? An excellent read, strong characters well defined, I can highly recommend it; I couldn’t put it down.

Turf Wars is a thrilling book that’s hard to put down. From the very first chapter it’s alive with action that pulls you into a world of exciting characters that live on life’s edge. Gang rivals, police corruption, lawyers and bar scenes that indulge your mind into an array of visions, keep you intrigued. I really enjoyed the book and cannot wait for a follow up.
